THUNDERBOLT

Programmed exclusively for acute ischemic stroke, Penumbra CAVT^™ (Computer Assisted Vacuum Thrombectomy) platform, THUNDERBOLT^®, is the first technology to introduce Modulated Aspiration to stroke thrombectomy, prioritizing rapid and complete clot ingestion.

Thunderbolt is designed to:

1. Detect: THUNDERBOLT leverages pressure differentials and flow-based algorithms designed for clot detection at the catheter tip
2. Fatigue: Modulated Aspiration is designed to fatigue the clot up to 12 times per second^a
3. Ingest: Designed for complete clot ingestion at the site of the occlusion
