Pascual Reginio | Senior Field Support Operations Representative | Joined Penumbra in 2020
Q. What is your current role at Penumbra?
I’m a contributor to the processes in Field Support. I process new purchase orders, organize returns and exchanges. I help oversee the travel stock and consignment inventory program where I transact the units that come in and out of those locations. Additionally, I serve as a point of contact for the sales team out in the field over email and phone. I provide them guidance and support when they need something.
Q. What aspects of your job do you enjoy most?
I appreciate the flexibility on how I get to approach my workflow. This allows me to manage my tasks effectively and stay productive while providing the support our sales team in the field needs daily. It’s never a dull day over here.
Q. Describe yourself at age 10. What career aspirations did you have at that age?
Like most Filipino families, mine wanted me to be a nurse and hoped that I would follow it after I graduated high school. For the longest time, I thought I’d be one. I eventually discovered my own interests elsewhere, but my family’s early influence helped shape my understanding of dedication, care, and purpose in the career I have today.
Q. What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?
Don’t be afraid to fail. Failure is a part of the process if you want to get better at something. If you have a plan, stay consistent and remember to be kind to yourself when you fall short. Make small changes to do better next time. See extraordinary results!
Q. Before working at Penumbra, describe the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had.
I used to volunteer at a senior dog shelter in San Francisco called Muttville. I would go in every Tuesday night to help walk dogs, help with feeding time, and clean their kennels. After those tasks were done, we’d get to sit around and play with all of them. It was a lot of fun and very fulfilling. I wanted to take them home so bad, but the place I lived at the time didn’t allow pets. I did this job for 2 years, but I had to let it go because the times they needed did not fit my schedule when I changed jobs.
Q. What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I’m an electronic dance music DJ. I got my first set of turntables in 2002 and started practicing every day I could after school. I eventually got to play at a popular night club in San Francisco and even got a headlining timeslot playing trance music. As I got older, I stopped playing in 2013 and sold everything I owned off. I just couldn’t keep up with the scene.
I picked DJing up again during Covid to stay busy. I now have a DJ controller and use it to play music on my computer. I currently play organic, afro, progressive house, with a little bit of melodic techno. Some of my favorite producers right now are Wassu, Sebastien Leger, Double Touch, and Marsh.
