Indigo® System

Penumbra’s Indigo®  Aspiration System can be used to remove emboli and thrombi from vessels of the peripheral arterial and venous systems, and for treatment of pulmonary embolism. A minimally-invasive device, Indigo enables the restoration of blood flow in such cases as acute limb ischemia and venous thrombus.

The Indigo Aspiration System is comprised of several devices:

Our Indigo CAT family of catheters delivers high level, continuous suction to remove thrombi and emboli from even distal anatomy. Our Indigo catheters are engineered to be robust, trackable, atraumatic, and well suited to the anatomy in the body, where clots often form in long segments.

Each Indigo Separator can be used in tandem with the corresponding Indigo catheter to break up resistant clot in the lumen of the catheter.

The Indigo System has been applied for use as a first-line approach or rescue therapy for arterial and venous thrombotic events.
