Peripheral Vascular Devices
Penumbra’s Indigo® System, launched in 2014, is a Continuous Aspiration Mechanical Thrombectomy (CAT) system designed to remove clot from arteries and veins in the peripheral vasculature. The Indigo System utilizes the Pump MAX™ which provides a high level of continuous suction, while our catheter technology delivers this suction to lesions in vessels of various sizes. Penumbra’s CAT catheters are robust, durable, trackable, and well suited to the peripheral anatomy where clots often form in long segments.
Penumbra entered the peripheral vascular market in 2013 with the launch of the Ruby® Coil System, a large-volume coil designed for embolization of the peripheral arterial and venous systems. The POD® (Penumbra Occlusion Device) System was launched in 2014 and is designed to treat arteries and veins in the peripheral vasculature. Penumbra’s Ruby Coil and POD System enable embolization in the body’s more complex anatomy.
Penumbra’s LANTERN® Delivery Microcatheter integrates a low-profile microcatheter with a high-flow lumen for confident large-volume coil delivery to tortuous anatomy.
