Tom Krebs
Chief Financial Officer and Director
Mr. Krebs joined Penumbra with 19 years experience in corporate tax accounting, treasury management and finance. Most recently, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Smart Therapeutics, and continued as the division Vice President of Finance following the acquisition of Smart Therapeutics by Boston Scientific Corporation. In this role, he oversaw the integration of Smart Therapeutics' financial and administrative functions into Boston Scientific. Prior to joining Smart Therapeutics, Mr. Krebs spent one year in semi-retirement working as a volunteer with the local schools where his children attend. He was Director of Tax and Treasury at Yahoo! Inc. where he established the Tax and Treasury Department in the company's early days and wrote the company's first formal tax strategy. Mr. Krebs started his career in the Washington, D.C. and San Jose offices of Coopers & Lybrand, an international accounting firm. Mr. Krebs has undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
