Jim Feenstra
Vice President of Marketing
Mr. Feenstra joined Penumbra with over twenty years experience in the medical device industry, with the last thirteen years in the interventional vascular device space, including a variety of roles across the neuro, cardiac and peripheral disease areas. Most recently he was the President and Chief Operating Officer for Hansen Medical, an emerging interventional robotics company focused on atrial fibrillation procedures. Prior to this role, he was President of Boston Scientific’s Neurovascular business where he led the $240 million division to above plan results in 2001, 2002, and 2003. Revenue grew 15% per year through acquisitions, innovation, market development activities, and high quality execution. Prior to his leadership role at BSC Neurovascular, Mr. Feenstra spent nine years in a range of marketing roles at BSC Neurovascular and SCIMED Life Systems. He started his career in medical device marketing with eight years in the clinical diagnostic industry. Mr. Feenstra has an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
